What do you get when you put current-age musical instruments in the hands of five loudmouthed bards with tales to tell about history, fantasy, myth, and saga? That’s the question that the Dutch metal band Bards of Valor will try to answer.

With a wide range of influences, Bards of Valor will take you on a journey through well-thought-out atmospheric soundscapes, epic anthems, and melodic shanties inspired by medieval battles, myths about gods, other deities, and historic hearsay.

Bards of Valor found its start at a tavern somewhere in Enschede at the end of 2015 and is still going strong with bangers on both of their concept albums: “A Tale of Hope and Ruin,” inspired by medieval battles for glory, and “Aegir’s Wrath”, which tells the tale of a group of Vikings lost in an anachronistic fantasy world. This year, we expect to release our third album, “Veni, Vidi, Valor,” which contains a collection of smaller stories set in different times and ages.
